The first time was 5 years ago when we wanted to remortgage to do an extension on our house. Then again in May/June of this year. What Alex doesn't know about his field isn't worth knowing!
Both times we felt that he always had our best interests at heart. He was never ever pushy, he just showed us all our options and then let us go away and discuss together before coming back to him. I have dealt with some very good advisors in the past as such my expectations were quite high. To my surprise Gemma presented the levels of passion, knowledge and a genuine interest in achieving the best for me and that is what makes her a truly professional Financial Adviser and a credit to Mortgage Advice Services. There were so many examples for this but at the heart of it she provided me with a great deal and helped me redistribution my wealth saving me £650/month. That was money I was throwing away and that I would have continued to throw away if it was joy for Gemma. Also she was able to provide me with a one stop shop solution sorting out all aspects of the re-mortgage and I I did was provide the information she needed. It started last year when I received a general phone call about my homeowner status. They were extremely helpful then they made an appointment with a mortgage advisor. I spoke with a lovely lady called Gemma she was fantastic from start to finish she explained everything in detail but also in normal English language not all this mortgage jargon which goes over my head. Gemma got me a really good deal and I also wanted to remove a name from the mortgage . I got accepted immediately but when all searches were carried out there was a problem from years ago , which then resulted in me having to go through a different lender. Gemma sorted everything out . There was lots of hurdles to get over as there was lots of problems down the road . But needless to say I have completed today and I am so grateful to mortgage advice services but it wouldn’t of happened if it wasn’t for Gemma . I would like to take this opportunity to thank her from the bottom of my heart , she never gave up and she just kept on going to find solution after solution to the endless problems. We originally were too busy to speak to them but so glad we did. A telephone advisor made an appointment for someone to see us. Alex Atkinson came. He was super going through our situation patiently. Considering all options and taking into account our requirements. We have ended up with a remortgage with a high standard bank on fixed rate ( important given Brexiters looming) and have saved thousands of pounds a year even with a float for house repairs. Even after Alex visit ed he stayed in touch to ensure paperwork went through smoothly. We could not have asked for a better service. There was a fee equivalent to 2 months savings.
